The QS World University Ranking by Subject is a global university ranking conducted by QS Quacquarelli Symonds since 2004. This year, a total of 1,543 institutions worldwide were ranked in 51 subjects. Methodologically, the subject ranking is based on surveys of scientists and employers as well as on the number of citations per scientific publication in the respective subject area. A new indicator evaluates the ability of institutions to establish and co-publish research networks.

The University of Bonn has many improvements in the QS World University Ranking by subject.

As Rector Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Michael Hoch explains: “The results of these rankings underscore once again the top quality of teaching and research conducted into countless subjects at the University of Bonn, one of Germany’s 11 “Excellence Universities”.
