DOES THE BGSE PROGRAM MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
"So far, the BGSE has definitely met my expectations. The coursework is challenging and requires a lot of effort, but I am learning a great deal, and solving problem sets with fellow students greatly helps with the learning process. The research environment has also not disappointed. Every week, there are numerous interesting seminars featuring both internal and external speakers. Additionally, there have been several conferences and workshops in the Bonn area. Lastly, faculty members are accessible and willing to discuss research ideas and future plans, which I greatly appreciate."

"The most important factors for me were the outstanding research environment and faculty at Bonn. The department is highly renowned and has a range of researchers I would like to work and collaborate with. The program also has a strong track record of placements in the academic job market and provides rigorous training during the coursework phase."
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR EXPERIENCE IN BONN UP TO NOW?
"My experience has been very positive so far. Although we spend a lot of time in the office working, we regularly find time to play games and spend some time together outside of work. My cohort quickly became my friends, and I really enjoy spending time with them. Another highlight of my experience here is the wide range of sports offered by the uni and in Bonn in general. I regularly go swimming and play badminton in a local club which helps to maintain a healthy balance with the coursework."
