Appeal of the rectorate to wear a mask during the lectures

— filed under:

Information from the Vice Dean for Teaching of our faculty, Prof. Dr. Moritz Brinkmann:

"Dear Students!

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the Rectorate of the University of Bonn last Friday issued an urgent appeal to wear a medical mask or an FFP2 mask also during events and on other seats in anticipation of an expected legal mask obligation.

I would like to urge you, also against the background of a positive case, to heed this appeal and to wear a mask in all lectures, also in the corridors of the Juridicum and while sitting in the Juri§hop.

In accordance with the rules in force at other universities, the wearing of the mask may be waived
by persons giving lectures, provided that they are at least 1.5 meters away from other persons,

  • when taking food and drink
  • when communicating with a deaf or hard of hearing person
  • and by persons who cannot wear a mask for medical reasons (in this case they should keep a distance of 1.5 meters from other participants*).

I would also like to remind you that proof of identity must be presented at the entrance control. We will intensify the controls in this regard in the coming week.

Let us all work together to keep the risks as low as possible. In addition to wearing a mask, this also includes using the CoronaWarnApp. For the rest, it remains the same: Those who have symptoms stay at home until they are cleared and take advantage of the online lectures. And of course: get vaccinated if you haven't already!

Let us do everything together to make life and work at our faculty as safe as possible. It is also up to us how long we can continue the face-to-face teaching that we have missed for so long.

Best wishes
Moritz Brinkmann"
