My Research:
In my research, I study how monetary policy affects financial stability through its impact on financial markets and banks' funding structures. My research employs a mix of empirical and theoretical tools to study the causes and consequences of booms and busts in financial markets.
Given the crucial role of rare events, such as systemic banking crises, in shaping boom-bust dynamics, I often build on newly collected long-run data to gain new insights into current debates.

My Future:
I will join the Division of Financial Stability at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. There, I will continue researching how monetary policy interacts with financial markets to contribute to macro-financial stability.

My Highlights:
What I enjoyed most about studying at BGSE was the supportive colleagues and the wide range of opportunities both within and beyond academia. On a personal level, living in Bonn—with its charm as a university city and access to nature—made these years especially memorable.
