New Partnership between the Kyiv School of Economics and the Department of Economics Online-Courses for Ukrainian Students

The Department of Economics in Bonn offers Online-Courses to Ukrainian Students

The Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) is the leading social science school in Ukraine and has a longtime connection to the Department of Economics at Bonn University. To address the current crisis, KSE has become one of the founders of the Ukrainian Global University (UGU), which is an initiative to connect international universities and Ukrainian students and academics. The UGU will inform potential students about educational opportunities in international universities, help them with orientation, and verify their credentials, skills, and motivation.

The Department of Economics of the University of Bonn became a partner to KSE and UGU and stands ready to support KSE faculty and students in ways that will allow KSE and its programs to remain as coherent and constituted as possible.

As a first step of the partnership the the Department of Economics is offering joined courses. A special database was created that gives interested Ukrainian students access to recordings of lectures, teaching material, and further course material. Students can prepare for the exams through self-study and take online or customized exams. The credits obtained in these courses will be recognized by KSE or the UGU institution where the students are enrolled.

Ukrainian students seeking a degree in economics are called upon to contact the dean, Professor Jürgen von Hagen, to get access to the program.
