ERASMUS+ Program


The EU's ERASMUS+ program enables students to study at a university in the EU for three to 12 months or to do an internship in an EU country. During their time abroad, participants receive financial and organizational support. More about Erasmus+.

The Economics department awards about 30 ERASMUS places at its partner universities every year:

ERASMUS+ partner universities

The application deadline for the academic year 2022/23 (winter term 2022/23 and/or summer term 2023) is the 1st February 2022.

ERASMUS worldwide

The application deadlines are for summer term 2022: 25 September 2021 and for winter term 2022/23: 5 January 2022.

Application requirements

  • Matriculation as a regular student
  • Completion of at least the first year of studies by the start of the study abroad
  • Sufficient knowledge of the language of instruction

Selected applicants are required to take an online language test before and after the ERASMUS semester to evaluate their language skills. More information here:

(ERASMUS & ERASMUS worldwide)

Please submit the following application documents to the International Coordination by the deadline (either in person in room 0.39 in the Juridicum, by post or by dropping them in the letterbox of the Auslandskoordination in front of the Dean's Office):

  • Letter of motivation (either in German or English), in which you explain both your academic and personal reasons for studying abroad. You may indicate up to three target universities; please give reasons why you would like to study there for each of the selected universities.
    • For Israel: letter of motivation in English
  • Tabular curriculum vitae (optionally in German or English)
  • Current Basis credit overview (for Master students: copy of the Bachelor's certificate)
  • Abitur certificate (copy)
  • Proof of English language skills (e.g. by Abitur certificate, language certificate from IAAK, TOEFL Test, IELTS Test or Cambridge Certificates)
    • For Israel: TOEFL with at least 89 points or IELTS with 7 points
  • Proof of knowledge of the language of instruction if it is not English (e.g. DELF, DALF, TCF for Toulouse)
  • Proof of extracurricular activities (if available)

* The Université de Toulouse requires exchange students to additionally send a Proof of Language certificate (in either French or English depending upon the chosen language of instruction) as part of their application (e.g. DELF, DALF, or TCF for French or Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL, or TOEIC for English).
