Economics Minor
If you would like to study Economics as a minor, the focus is on a major subject (around 70% of the course). The subjects with which you complete the Bachelor of Arts in combination with Economics as a minor subject are part of the courses offered by the Faculty of Arts at the University of Bonn:
Examples: Archaeology, English Studies, German Studies - Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies
History, Art History, Latin American and Ancient American Studies, Philosophy, Politics and Society, and Catholic Theology.
Economics as an accompanying subject combines business and economics fundamentals to give you a basic understanding of the economy. Economics looks at the economy as a whole, i.e. the interactions between the state, companies, and individuals. Business administration describes the management, control, and organization of a business or company. In Bonn, the focus is traditionally on economics modules. By the end of your studies, you will be able to recognize and understand fundamental economic relationships.

Advanced study programs
The economic knowledge from the minor subject "Economics" is not sufficient to meet the admission requirements for the Master's degree in "Economics" or other Master's degree courses in economics. Basic and in-depth knowledge of microeconomics and macroeconomics is lacking, in particular comprehensive knowledge of quantitative methods. A consecutive accompanying subject is not offered. Further university education is possible - depending on the subject - in the Master's degree programs of the Faculty of Arts.
