09.06.2026: The registration of bachelor’s and master’s theses is now handled through an online form on the website. The submission of an original signed registration form is no longer necessary.
29.05.2026: Please note the announcement regarding the format and duration of examinations, as well as the specific examination dates for the Summer Semester 2026 under Dates.
13.03.2026: If you have to withdraw from an exam (e.g., due to illness) please check this information (exam withdrawal).

16.10.2025: The courses

will, following the decision of the Faculty Council and with the approval of the Study Board, be conducted in the winter semester 2025/26 partly in digital format (a blended course combining in-person and online teaching).
02.09.2025: From the 2025/26 winter semester onward, admission (bachelor’s program in Economics/two-subject Economics) and registration (module export for students of other subjects/supplementary subject Economics) will be discontinued permanently.
Master’s program
11.09.2025: It is no longer necessary to have two Topics Modules transferred into a Research Module. According to the decision of the Examination Committee from July 2025, this technical reallocation is no longer required. The requirements of the Examination Regulations are also fulfilled if no Research Module has been completed, provided that two Topics Modules have been successfully passed.

Responsibilities
The Economics Examinations Office serves as the examination authority for all courses offered by the Department of Economics and students from other faculties who take modules at the Department of Economics. You can contact the Examinations Office with any questions you may have such as for example:
- Admission and registration for the examination procedure
- Transfer of credits procedure (change of study location and subject/study abroad)
- Enrollment in courses (e.g., Academic research and writing in the bachelor’s program, Research modules in the master’s program)
- Examinations (e.g., registrations, cancellations, withdrawals)
- Examination procedure
- Certificates (e.g., for Foreigners’ Office, BAföG, final credits)
