Bundesbank Science Prize 2025 for excellent theses awarded at the University of Bonn Bundesbank Science Prize 2025

Ms. Paula Jacobs received the Bundesbank Science Prize 2025 for excellent theses for her Master's thesis “Above and Below Zero: Bank Lending in a Post-Negative Policy Rate Era.” The prize was awarded on June 24, 2025 by the President of the North Rhine-Westphalia Head Office of the Deutsche Bundesbank, Mr. Christian Otto, at the Juridicum in Bonn. This year's prize was endowed with 2,000 euros. We would like to congratulate the winner!

Every year, the Bundesbank awards prizes for outstanding dissertations and theses (Bachelor's or Master's theses) written at the University of Bonn. Prizes can be awarded to theses that are directly related to the Bundesbank's fields of activity, for example in the areas of monetary policy, European Monetary Union, international economics, banking, financial markets, payments or financial stability. Students or supervisors who would like to nominate their work or the work of others for the prize should contact Prof. Keith Küster, who is coordinating the nomination process on the Bonn side. 

Proposals for next year's prize for final theses can be submitted until March 15, 2026. The work to be awarded should have been completed after March 15, 2025.
