The Department of Economics at the University of Bonn is once again among the international top group in the current subject ranking of the international provider QS (Quacquarelli Symonds). Globally, it has improved by eleven places, now reaching 50th position. In terms of academic reputation, the faculty is ranked among the top 25 worldwide, making it one of the leading centers for Economics.

The QS subject ranking in Economics/Econometrics is based on four indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, citations, and the H-index. A total of 699 universities worldwide were evaluated in this subject.

In addition to Economics, other disciplines at the University of Bonn also achieve very strong rankings. Mathematics ranks 39th worldwide and is placed 1st nationally. Agricultural and Forestry Sciences rank 54th worldwide (4th in Germany). Furthermore, nine other subjects at the University of Bonn are ranked among the top 100 worldwide according to QS.

In this year’s QS ranking, a total of 55 subjects were assessed, with the University of Bonn represented in 27 of them.
