Formal steps at the beginning of your studies
At the beginning of your studies, you must officially register with the university in order to become a full student at the University of Bonn. In addition, you must apply once for "Admission to the Bachelor's examination" at the Economics Examination Office, or if you are studying in the accompanying subject, you must register.
Enrollment
By enrolling, you become a full student of the University of Bonn. Enrollment takes place at the Student Registry, Poppelsdorfer Allee 49, 53115 Bonn.
There are no admission restrictions for the degree program "B.Sc. Economics". You can enroll directly online. The term "application portal" on the enrollment website is initially confusing. You formally "apply", but are admitted immediately and your application for enrollment is accepted. As soon as the university has received the semester fee, your Uni-ID will be activated and you can access the service portal for students. From a legal point of view, you gain student status from 1st April (summer semester) or 1st October (winter semester).
For the admission-restricted partial degree program "Economics" (two-subject/main and accompanying subject), enrollment takes place after you have received a letter of admission with an enrollment deadline (admission in August, enrollment in September).
The documents required for enrollment can be found on the website of the Student Registry.
