My highlights
What I liked most about studying in Bonn is that the city offers the perfect balance between academic and personal life. Academically, it provides an excellent research environment, including seminars, supervision, and opportunities to participate in international conferences or for research stays abroad. Personally, I also really like the city with all its students and beautiful natural surroundings.
My research
In my research, I study the distributive effects of climate policies, such as carbon taxes and subsidies for electric vehicles, on different household groups. For instance, one of my projects demonstrates that rural households are disproportionately affected by carbon taxes, suggesting that they require larger transfers to be compensated for these impacts.
My future
I have recently started working at De Nederlandsche Bank (the central bank of the Netherlands) as a Climate Research Economist. Thus, I am happy to continue my research on climate policies while contributing to the ongoing policy debate on this topic.
