Bonn's Department of Economics has held the top spot in the national comparison since 2017.
The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects includes rankings of universities across 57 subjects in the natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medicine, and social sciences. More than 2,000 universities from around 100 countries and regions are included. The rankings are based on a range of academic indicators and third-party data used to measure university performance in each subject. GRAS draws on nine objective indicators grouped into five categories: World-Class Faculty, World-Class Research Output, High-Quality Research, Research Impact, and International Collaboration.
